Tim Kleindienst: Borussia Mönchengladbach sign forward from Heidenheim

Bundesliga side Borussia Mönchengladbach have signed forward Tim Kleindienst from Heidenheim as the Foals continue building towards the new season.

Kleindienst, 28, has signed a four-year contract with Gladbach and will join the club on 1 July.

The German striker has scored 54 goals in 134 appearances for Heidenheim, including 12 in 33 games last season.

Kleindienst is a physical presence up front and is also good in the air. He will provide Gladbach with another option in attack, alongside Marcus Thuram and Alassane Pléa.

Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl said: "Tim Kleindienst is a player who we have been tracking for some time. He is a good goalscorer and he will add something different to our attack."

Kleindienst said: "I am very happy to be joining Borussia Mönchengladbach. This is a big club with a great history and I am looking forward to playing in the Bundesliga."
